What distinguishes Comet Girls Lacrosse from other programs?

Our program has a particular emphasis on rigorous instruction and small teams. Our progressive curriculum is comprehensive in addressing individual skills, positional play and team concepts. We offer a considerable amount of teaching time, and our travel teams are intentionally small to allow players as much playing time as possible at tournaments. Our goal is to position the girls to be versatile, experienced and competitive high school lacrosse players.

In addition, the Comet coaches are not only passionate about lacrosse, they have a wide range of experiences playing, coaching and teaching lacrosse to girls of all ages. For more information, please read our coach bios.

What ages/grades are girls in the Comet program?

Our Sunday fall clinics are open to girls in 4th through 9th grade. Throughout the year, we will offer programs for girls as young as kindergarten. The summer travel teams include one grade-based team for each year, 5-9th grade. We also offer a mini-summer experience for 4th graders.

Where are the clinics and tryouts held?

All of the Comet clinics, tryouts, practices and day camps will be held at the Greenwich Academy fields and gyms. The address is 200 N. Maple Ave. Greenwich, CT.

Do we have to live in Greenwich to participate in this program?

No. The Comet Girls Lacrosse program is open to anyone. While most of our girls come from Fairfield and Westchester counties, we have had girls travel from as far as Litchfield County. Since the bulk of our summer travel instruction occurs in our day and overnight camps, we are able to accommodate players from a wide geographic area.
